The Moon & Star Canvas Swap

  In March of 2005, I proposed a canvas board swap with the theme of Moon & Stars. We swapped 2 canvases for 2, and participants were given the option of creating a third canvas as a gift to Steven and I, for our wedding  in June. We would use these canvases to decorate the room, as moon & stars were woven into our wedding theme!

The swap specifics were: Any size canvas boards ranging in size from as small as 4" x 5" to as large as 9" x 12" were allowed and any techniques could be used, such as paint, collage, beeswax, rubber stamping, photographs, transfers, fabric -- really anything the participants wanted to try on a canvas board. ARTchix items were welcome and many of the participants used ARTchix items even though they were not a requirement for this particular swap. The canvases were all due in my hands by May 7th. We had 18 generous and talented participants and lots of wonderful moon & star art to display at our wedding! Thank you all, again. See the Gallery below for what we swapped and displayed.
