ARTchix Studio Fabric Book RR
After seeing some pages from the One Page at a Time fabric exchange I hosted in 2004, the owner of ARTchix Studio (Helga Strauss) told me that she would love to be involved in something like this! Could we possibly do one ARTchix style? Yes! Helga Strauss and I gathered together 12 talented artists for a year long fabric page exchange that ran from September 2004 to September of 2005, with our pages being made & books sent monthly.
The only REQUIREMENTS were to use at least one ARTchix item per page (the size was set at 7" x 7") and it was a requirement to work on both sides. Stuffing your page with batting (or not) was up to you. Participants could choose a theme for their books, or not! Helga likes to call our pages "quilties" as they are like tiny quilts! A huge thanks goes out to: Helga Strauss, Theresa Hall, Marie Otero, Chrissy Howes, Ann Peterson, Terrie Lightfoot, Belinda Schneider, Genie Bizjak, Chris Peden, Robyn Schultz and Marla Rosenlieb for working in this exchange with me, a wonderful experience!
