'Deco' in this case, stands for decorative booklet; a small booklet that is decorated. A deco is sent from one participant to another until it returns home to it's owner. This page will show pages done in the Deco Round Robin I'm involved in through the CreativeChix Yahoo Group. Hooray!
Our exchange had a few rules, set up by our hostess, Laura. "Each person makes a front cover and a back cover for their decos. Each person picks a theme for their decos. The players send their decos around to other players in a round robin form until they come back home to the owners, with a turn around time of 3 weeks. A deco is a small book. Usually no bigger than 4X5. You will make the pages for the participants to do their art on and include them when you send your deco out. Each participant does 2 spreads (or 2 pages, in my case) in your deco. They can match or be totally different. The only thing is you have to do the pages to represent what you think for the book owners theme. To begin you will want to start the first page." - Here is how I started my FAMILY theme deco:

The deco fits in this little tin! I glued a fabric transfer ATC to the front; a picture of my immediate family (my sons and my husband Steven) at our wedding last June. It's exciting to send this off and see what people will do with my Family theme. Participants are: Lyn Avedikian, Maria Garcia, Belinda Spiwak, Joan M. Lawrence, and Chris Young.

March 12, 2006: Last week I received Chris Young's beautiful Deco with the theme of Archetypes. I will share scans of her own deco and how she started it, as well as what I did in her deco. I did a 2 page spread on the archetype "free spirit". Chris did a page on the archetype "nurturer" and a page on "lost souls".
