Fabric Art
I have been working with fabric since I was a little girl when my mother taught me how to sew my own clothes! I am still so drawn to fabric and I love to work with it in so many ways. I have uploaded photos of my fabric art here on this page and will add more as I continue creating pieces . . . . You'll find my original Fabric Art Gallery below and more of my fabric art in many of the other galleries linked on the right. Thanks for visiting!
January 1, 2007: I've added a few pages to Rebecca Boyer-Langsdorf's Fabric Deco . . . she asked for volunteers! The small size (approx. 3" x 4") made this fun!

Two more Quilty Squares I did for a swap through the CreativeChix yahoo Group:
I created this one for Cheryl Bartolone following
her theme and colors: Red, burgundy, light green, dark green, cream - Christmas with
touches of gold and black! I used both paper and fabric images from
ARTchix Studio, as
well as some black German Scrap trim. I did a little bit of hand sewing, but
used mostly Tacky Glue to put this together.
This Quilty was created for Jeannette Coate
with her request for Ocean Colors, with a hint of gold and pearl, and
Mermaids in mind. I did a lot of hand sewing of sequins, gluing of seed beads
and various papers. I included a bathing beauty image from ARTchix Studio, which
I promptly turned into a mermaid with sequins!
You can see more of the 'Quilty Squares' from this exchange, below in the Fabric ART Gallery . . . . ~ lenna 04/17/06
Below is my first try at Crazy Quilting! I was involved in a 1 for 1 swap through the creativeChix Yahoo group. I also took a great on-line class from Sharon Boggon through www.joggles.com ~ lenna 3/20/06
