Steven Deming - his ART!

I wanted to share some of the wonderful art my husband Steven Deming has done in the past, and also more recently. After we re-connected in 2004, Steven did some sketches for the first time in about a dozen years. He told me he couldn't help being creative hanging around with me! Steven is very talented and it's awesome to watch him draw. I am so glad he is getting back to it! His job involves designing computer systems for companies, but in his free time he's been drawing and even painting again! I love his art (some of it is very humorous!) and I wanted to share it here on my website. Steven enjoyed seeing his own work up on my website for the first time in 2004, so he went ahead and created his own PictureTrail site. It includes many more of his cartoons that aren't shown here, as well as his photos of Canada. Check it out: Steve's PictureTrail site.

Two of Three Graces, by Steven Deming  To the left, this graphite piece of Steven's (he refers to it as a 'pencil painting') was accepted in the 2006 East Granby CT 'Friends of the Library' Juried ART Show. Steven won an Honorable Mention Award for this! A mixed media piece of mine, plus a collaborative piece of ours were also selected for this Art Show. More recently in 2007, we found out a collaborative painting we did was accepted into the West Hartford Art League's Juried Members Show, Feb. 16 - March 10, 2007. We are so excited!

This drawing is one Steve started working on from a photograph of me taken late last year at Garth's house, but he didn't like the way my ear is coming out! Personally, (and I'm not biased) I think it's awesome what he can do with a pencil & paper! Here's the photo and the drawing:
