Steven Deming - his ART!
This page shares some of the wonderful art my husband Steven Deming has created in the past, as well as more recently. After we re-connected in 2004 before we got married, Steven did some sketches for the first time in about a dozen years. He told me he couldn't help being creative hanging around with me! What a compliment from this talented man. Steven is an artist even though he does not like to think so. He says he simply has good pencil techniques! Well, it is an awesome thing to watch him draw. I love his style and his art. Some of it is very humorous! He truly is an artist.

on it for more detail. This piece he did was accepted into the 2006 East Granby
CT 'Friends of the Library' Juried ART Show, where Steven won Honorable
Mention. See the yellow ribbon below! Two other pieces; one a
mixed media
piece that I did and a
collaborative piece
of ours were also entered into and chosen for this 2006 Show. Later, in 2007,
a collaborative painting Steven and I did together was accepted into the West Hartford Art
League's Juried Members Show, Feb. 16 - March 10, 2007.

The drawing of my face below is one Steve started working on from a photograph taken at our dear friend Garth's house in New York, 2004. Steven didn't like the way my ear was coming out, though! Personally (and I'm not being biased) I think it's awesome what he can do with a pencil & paper! Here's the photo compared to the drawing - click for detail.
2008: I asked Steven if I could use his sketch of my eyes in a fabric collage I was working on since he gave up on it. He said, yes! Please do! Click on the thumbnail below for a larger view of how his drawing has been incorporated into one of my fabric collage pieces.
2010: Steven has done a bit of drawing since we moved to Florida, but mostly he's been working with wood and re-designing boats! I must include the card he made me for my birthday in 2009, one of my favorites!
