week 20 DLP: modeling paste

My journal page for the Documented Life Project, Week 20. The Theme for May is: Touchy Feely (Texture) and the May 16th Art Challenge is modeling paste. The Journal Prompt for May 16th is: Rising to the Occasion. Well, I finally did! This page was worked on May 30/31, so a little late but truthfully, no matter. I really liked how it came out and it certainly stretched me.

I found "Light Molding Paste" by Golden in my stash of supplies. It must have been a sample. The jar was very small and I had never used it. It seemed a little dry, so I mixed in a bit of water as the jar said that was OK. I liked the idea I had seen of using molding paste with a stencil, so I grabbed one I got from Stencil Girl, after visiting my friend Frieda and using hers. : )

Testing a spray dye - Adirondack in Bottle Green

I removed the stencil after pushing the paste through, washed it immediately it and let the page dry overnight.

Adding more colors (you don't think I'd stick to just one, would you??)

I decided I really did not want to add anything else, except the molding paste and the colors.

Between that and the fabric page next to it, I think it is busy enough!

Still here . . . still doing this . . . still enjoying it!!!
