The March Theme is: Making Your Mark (Doodles & Mark Making)
March 14: Art Challenge:  Borders
Journal Prompt:  "Borderline, feels like I'm going to lose my mind."

Because I got caught up on the DLP journal prompts last week, I was eagerly anticipating the new prompt being announced today. When I read it, I dove in right away! I do like the feeling of being up to date a lot better than being behind, it is so much better for my psyche!

I started my "border" theme with washi tape, as a place to start. I knew I would be doing more, although I was not sure what. The tape borders helped to get my creative thinking going.

Then I took my watercolor crayons and doodled.

I activated the watercolor crayons with a wet brush.

Then I doodled more with the watercolor crayons, a black permanent marker and a white opaque pen. I even extended the border onto the next page I was having so much fun!

The journal prompt was a quote from a Madonna song . . . "Borderline, feels like I'm going to lose my mind." When I started playing in my journal I went to YouTube and looked up the song!  I found a Madonna YouTube Playlist, which I played while arting. The words inside the borders on my journal page are Madonna Song Titles : 0 )

The finished page . . .

That was really fun! Thanks for looking.
