Cry Me a River - DLP week 15

I STARTED WITH TUBES OF ACRYLIC PAINT SQUEEZED ONTO THE PAGE

The Documented Life Project, Week 15
The April Theme is: Color Safari (Exploring Inks and Paints)

April 11 Art Challenge is: Acrylics
Journal Prompt: Cry Me a River

I glued my fabric down and used a plastic card to spread the paint

When the paint was dry, I cut the page on the right into 4 narrow sections for interest.

I added rubber stamped fish on my water, my river . . .

THE CUT PAGES ARE NOW STAMPED WITH FISH

I FOUND THE LYRICS TO THE SONG "CRY ME A RIVER" AND PRINTED THEM OUT

I found a number of versions of this song, written by Arthur Hamilton, first published in 1953 and made famous in 1955 with the version by Julie London. My favorite one I listened to was by Diana Krall, who I have seen play live. Have A Listen . . .

more color added . . . I really like the way the pink blended in.

Look what the fabric piece became ❤ A Heart Crying A RIVER of tears ❤

It started as a simple fabric piece for The 100 Day Project, see below . . .

my 1/100 fabric piece for the 100 day project inspired me for this journal page : 0 )
