Jumping In Again
I finished the last of my 61 ICADs (Index Card A Day) for the 2015 challenge as we were traveling home from Wolfe Island, Ontario. See Below. Lucky for me I don't get carsick and was able to create in the car! This challenge was hosted by Tammy Garcia at Daisy Yellow Art and I must say what a fabulous job she did with it. I continue to learn each year and practice the art of jumping into my art.
It's been about a week since we've been back home and I have been unpacking and reorganizing, seeing family & friends, joining a gym and not really creating any art except my photography. You can imagine I was beginning to get itchy to start again! At the end of September, when I go to Boston to visit my sons and their wives, I am also going to go to Huntington, NY (Long Island) to teach a few classes at The Moon Rose Art Stamps. What fun! I taught there way back in 2001-2004. I am very much looking forward to seeing owner Diana Kovacs and teaching again for her in 2015! One of the classes I will be bringing to the Moon Rose involves getting a jumpstart on your art. I figured after a week off, it was about time I did the same thing myself. ;o)
As soon as I started, I knew this was just what I had been missing. I did not know what I was going to do when I started, I simply made decisions. Let's start with paint. Purple Lumiere, let's brush it on. Now how about some pink? Lets use my fingers! Now I want something on top of the paint -how about a swirl, in white ink. And also a saying, one that fits, rubber stamped! I know I will be continuing this process in one form or another, and I will introduce some students to jumping in feet first, without too much thought of the outcome, soon!
Thanks for stopping by, lenna
