This was an interesting prompt, Pros & Cons. I was inspired by Tammy's prompt to start by writing an actual list of some positive & negative thoughts. Because there was a vellum page with keys in the middle, it was kind of fun to write something on one side of the spread, flip the printed vellum over and write something on the other side of the page, then go back and do it again. It felt good to write, but as I finished filling the space, I decided I did not want to keep those words visible. So I did what I have heard many artists do, I covered them up! First with ink from a VersaCraft ink pad and later with a bit of collage/paper.
What I enjoyed about this prompt was that it gave me a way to dip my toes in, to get started playing around creatively. I got some feelings out of my system through writing "pros & cons" very loosely, then covering them up and continuing to play. Steven & I went to FT Lauderdale a little over 2 weeks ago and I still had the ephemera from our trip hovering around on my work space. I combined that with some magazine clippings leftover from a recent "found poetry" exchange (to be shared later) & just enjoyed creating. It felt good - and for this, I am grateful. More to come! We had house guests here for Steve's 60th birthday (dear friends). Wanting to spend time with them I have a couple more Muse 30 Prompts in the cue - YAY!! Watch this space :0) lenna
