Marion B's 10th Annual ATC Swap

I am delighted to be participating in Marion Bockelmann's Annual ATC Swap! The theme this year is 'All Things Alice'. When announcing the swap Marion noted that we did not have to stick to the original illustrations or the story . . .  but I did, ha! This was because I had a number of wonderful image sheets from Alpha Stamps and I wanted to play with these images. I had hosted a swap myself through my Creative Swaps site with Alpha Stamps using their great images way back in 2009. What fun it was to work with them again!

I used watercolor paper that I had previously painted with acrylic paint as my base. I think I was cleaning my brush off (excess paint) at the time. They were a welcome find when I opened my box of ATC supplies . . . ready made, homemade backgrounds! I like the photo above for the dimension it shows, but I think you can see the background a little better via a scan of the ATCs, below. You can click on the scan for a bigger picture.

I kept it simple and enjoyed. I used images from various Alpha stamps sheets - one was a clear sticker sheet! (Curiouser . . . eat me-drink me) I took a fine black Sharpie Marker and added stitch lines, hearts & doodles. Then I pulled out a ruby red Sparkling H2o's watercolor pot & a brush to add color to the hearts. I also splattered a bit of red around. It was GREAT Fun, Marion. Thanks so much! I packed my ATCs up in part of a trading card sleeve, tucked in an address label and a couple of goodies for you :) The envelope was mailed April 6th, so that should be enough time to reach you by the 30th - my fingers are crossed and wishing for a speedy delivery! Thank YOU for hosting.
