#136-141 somethings out of 365❤

Here are the latest in my year long project of creating a small bit of art to represent each day!

To view what I have done so far this year all together on one page, please go here

These began as watercolor cards, 3x3. Instead of directly applying ink or paint to the cards like I typically do, I started by creating a paper collage. I ripped small pieces of paper from magazine ads about paint & color to give it a theme. I used some ledger paper, and other colorful magazine bits. When the collages were done, I added Golden paint in these colors: Alizarin Crimson Hue, Indian Yellow Hue and C.P. Cadmium Red Light, plus Iridescent gold. Rubber stamping was done with VersaCraft Ink (heat set) and various background texture stamps along the edges, Claudia Rose word stamps in the middle. A tiny bit of Heidi Swapp Color shine spray in gold was used too! Here's a peek about 1/2 way through:

Below, a double exposure I created today with a photo of one of these cards and a photo of our cat Lightning!

So cute!

All is well here, Steve is healing.

Hope all is well with you & yours ❤Lenna  (& thanks to my friend Frieda for the quote below!)

True art can only spring from the intimate linking of the serious and the playful.
