52 weeks of creativity -Stitching & photos!

Feb 19-25th: week 8 out of 52

Another week has gone by, where did it go?! I worked on continuing to dive into my various creative activities and I think I did pretty well. With family visiting and some boat trips on the river, I concentrated on photography this week. But I also did a bit of sewing and some stitchies, yay!

Early in the week we saw ospreys. We also saw a dolphin, right in the Braden river!

My birthday fell this week on the 21st, and Steve made me a very cute card . . .

❤ I love his cartoon art! See more of Steve’s cartoons in a gallery here on my website.

On my birthday I made the seam binding I needed to finish the edges of Dallas’ patchwork quilt . . .

But, it will still be a little while before I actually finish it! With Steve’s encouragement on my birthday, we went to a nearby Sewing Machine dealer and ordered a new sewing machine, a Janome M7, designed especially for quilting. Happy birthday to me! It will be here in about a week. I wanted to do more quilting on Dallas quilt, but the small open space on my current machine made it very difficult to push the fabric through. Now with the new machine, I will be able to do that before I put the seam binding on. I feel very blessed . . . and happy. And excited!!

Three Stitch meditations were made . . . So I am up to 90 now and well on my way to 100!

We took some lovely slow, quiet rides in Chelsea and saw beautiful skies. I took many photographs!

At home, our Jasmine vine started blooming super early, and the rosemary in the garden is doing so well. I found our cats sleeping together on the guest bedroom bed -it made me laugh! (each with their own pillow). And Steve gave me flowers! He picked them wild, as we were walking around our neighborhood, Ha! I added the Spanish moss ;O)

We went to Woody’s Pub & Grill (on the Manatee River) via our larger outboard boat “Scout”, and met my sister & her husband there for lunch. They took my mom’s boat to meet us there.

I hope this finds you well, keep jumping in and keep the creativity flowing! ❤ Lenna
