Grid Journaling

I jumped into something I have been wanting to do for a while, a free Grid Journal mini class with Kellee Wynne. I had wanted to do this for a while now after seeing a lot of inspiring pages from artist friends on Instagram. Other things took priority, until today! I basically made myself sit down and START. It was a great thing to do because I really enjoyed myself. Here’s how I got started.

This was really fun to do! Kellee wanted us to warm up first and just put some scribbles on the page. I liked scribbling so much because it felt very freeing. I used a charcoal pencil, a regular pencil, a little bit of a white gelli roll pen and a water brush. Then it was time to add collage. In preparation, I randomly choose bits of paper from my collage stash. I picked some complimentary colors and added some contrasting pieces. I tried to make my decisions quickly, just go with the flow and what I liked seeing come together on the journal pages. Click on any small photo below to view it larger . . .

The finished spreads!

I would definitely encourage anyone to take this free Grid Journal mini class!
