This quilt was made for my daughter Maeve. A ‘strip quilt’ that was created from 2.5” strips of fabric, 42” in length. The 40 strips were sewn together end to end first & then lengthwise to each other, to create a 64”x 54” quilt (see below). My previous quilts were constructed with fabric squares… so a strip quilt was something different. This one was quilted ‘freestyle’ with the layers of the quilt stitched together in an improvisational way. It was a quick project & fun to make. Maeve was so pleased to receive it on her 40th birthday!
