(finished page) urban journal

I started a new page in the larger journal I created last month, before we left to visit ms. squish! :o) You can view the beginnings of that page HERE. I wanted to have this waiting for me when I returned from Boston. Sometimes it's hard for me to get back on track after being away, so I figured a half-done page would be a good nudge. It worked! I didn't want to cover the background done earlier entirely, so I chose a stencil from StencilGirl by Cecilia Swatton, called nosegay.

I felt it needed something more . . . I looked for my Pitt Artist Marker, the brush one. That did the trick for me and it was fun to doodle/draw.

The whole spread. The next page gets a head start with spray ink!

What was interesting is how the page before the nosegay/background changed, as paint and spray inks went through the back of the paper. Before & after, below . . .

Thank you for stopping by to see what I've been up to! My goal is to keep enjoying paint, paper, fabric, drawing, collage, art journaling and sewing! And continue to challenge my brain creatively! That will make for a happy Lenna. Have YOU been art journaling? Sewing? collaging? Do tell! Here's a quote I love --

Creativity takes a leap - then looks to see where it is.
