Stitch Meditation

Wow, it has been a while since “Stitch Meditation” was a common phrase around here! At one point, back starting in October of 2019 - March of 2020, I made 100 stitch meditations and sewed them together into a a wall hanging! You can read and see all about that on my Original Stitch Meditation page.

I am writing tonight to let you know I have dived back into Stitch Meditations. On Saturday, I was inspired to create a brand new Stitch Meditation. This was the first time I had made one since . . . August, 2020!! That is a year and a half.

I had often thought about starting up this process again, but I did not —until 2 days ago. What happened was, I ended up doing a bit of embroidery to cover a stitching line on a casual dress I wear mostly at home. Sitting quietly and doing that stitching is exactly what pushed me over the edge! It was so enjoyable to peacefully sit and stitch, that I was finally inspired to create a small Stitch Meditation once again. :o) I hope to do this a few times a week!

Above left is the Stitch Meditation I created on January 22, 2022 - #126. In the middle is #125, from August 6, 2020 next to the most recent one I did a few days ago. The photo on the right shows the back side of both of these two pieces.

I have created another page for my Stitch Meditations (2), which shares a gallery of 25 Stitch Meditations I made from May 1st, 2020 through August 26, 2020 and not recorded here until now. These 25 I made are above & beyond the first 100. You can view them all HERE. My latest piece from January is also there and I will be adding more as I go. Thank you for visiting! ❤ Lenna
