Tessa's Letter Journal ❤

05/19/2016 -It really is engaging for me to be involved in collaborative artwork again. I like getting sparks of ideas from the other artists' work and then jumping in and playing with the ideas. Here is a really interesting fold out spread in Tessa's Letter Journal that arrived in my mailbox on 5/16. This is all Tessa's work, in her journal below . . .

Holes I punched

Letter Journal Fold out page!

I could not resist taking the circular motif of Tessa's flowers and extending it by punching out 2 circles with my circle punch. To add to this background I continued to draw & doodle around all 6 circle shapes and added a little bit of blue ink to the right side of the fold out page only. See below, before & after . . .

There is more! First, let me share the flip side of the neon flower woman fold out page. I collaged with a variety of papers and fluid matte medium, adding to Tessa's background on the back of the colorful fold out.

Tessa's Letter Journal came to me in a wonderful envelope she decorated. I adore it, but felt that adding it to her journal would be the best thing to do. It is so beautiful! Don't you agree? Click on any envelope photo for more detail.

After adding to background pages for others to work on, I also did a finished spread of pages in Tessa's Letter Journal.

🌟Tessa's Letter Journal was mailed off to Fran in California on 5/18! Thank goodness for Letter Journals. They have peaked my interest in all things art!

There is no doubt that creativity is the most important human resource of all. Without creativity, there would be no progress and we would be forever repeating the same patterns.
